Overlooking George Square the James McCune Smith Room is encircled by natural daylight. Steeped in history it is situated on the ground floor and offers accessibility to all. This space is ideal for boardroom meetings, theatre-style presentations, and cabaret set up for group discussions and interactive training.
Pre-dinner drinks and canape reception, or intimate dinners can be accommodated too.
The Lord Dean’s Room wows with its intimate atmosphere. It is a breathtakingly elegant space.
Ideal for private meetings, additional conference break out room space, speakers room or green room.
Suitable for pre- dinner drinks receptions and/or intimate dinner. The floor to ceiling stained glass window depicts the scene in 1605 when the Letter of Guildry formalised the affairs of The Merchants House.
An elegant addition to any event. The Directors room is awash with period features, including our striking white marble fireplace and golden wallpaper. It creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is ideal for many events, from smaller conferences, theatre style presentations, additional break out rooms, to pre- dinner drinks receptions, intimate dinners, wedding and memorial ceremonies, and evening wedding reception party space.
The magnificent Grand Hall, steeped in history is the largest room within The Merchants House. A variety of events can be hosted here, including both cabaret and theatre style conferences, meetings and lectures, boardroom meetings, an AGM. Integral or stand alone exhibition space, lavish dinners, elegant weddings up to 120 people.
